Manta Stainless Steel Exhaust suitable for Toyota Landcruiser VDJ79 Ute 3inch (DPF Delete) Turbo Back 2016+
Material – Stainless Steel
We supply & Fit these Manta exhausts as the best sounding, best fitting option for the 79 Series Toyota Landcruiser, both single cab and dual cab.
They sound epic and free up the 1VD-FTV Engine for maximum exhaust flow.
Full Length System
The 3″ turbo back option has become a popular choice for the VDJ79 dual cab and single cab. It dumps at the back of the vehicle in a downward position. One of the most popular system Manta have available for the 70 Series Toyota Landcruiser V8’s.
VDJ79 – This Exhaust will suit a 2016+ DPF model VDJ9 Series Toyota Landcruiser in both the single and dual cab. This system eliminates the DPF and replaces it with a 3″ dump pipe. Tuning is required for fitment, and it is for off road use only.
Aluminised or Stainless Steel Option?
The ‘Aluminised’ option is a coating for the mild steel, inside & out. Manta have a 2 year warranty on this but we typically expect an exhaust to last a lot longer. Still has the same Manta build quality
-Stainless is the premium option from Manta, they are the highest quality for an off the shelf exhaust, fit & look great. Stainless steel will last much longer in corrosive environments, eg. beach driving
-There is a slight difference in sound between the two on the VDJs
In terms of sound level Manta rate their systems in ‘LOUD’ ‘MEDIUM’ and ‘QUIET’
This system is available in ‘MEDIUM’ and ‘LOUD’. On our own 79 Series, we opted for the medium which gave it enough grunt to sound impressive but meant we had no highway drone. If you go for the loud option, well… it most definitely is just that and it sounds amazing, but expect to hear it on the highway.
4 Inch Exhaust Upgrade
The VDJ79 Landcruiser ute, powered by the 1VD-FTV intercooled 4.5L turbo diesel, can easily be enhanced through the fitment of a high-flow Manta 4″ mandrel-bent exhaust system.
The restrictive nature of the standard exhaust system, which runs as small as 2.25” piping, effectively chokes the motor. By replacing the standard exhaust with a 4” mandrel-bent pipe there are numerous benefits realised; including improved low-down torque and responsiveness, reduced turbo lag, improved efficiency, and improved peak power.
The entire system is designed for easy fitment, following the same path as the standard exhaust system, and using all the same mounting points.
